Overview

The CABO 35 Express is a top-level sportfishing machine whose impeccable detailing, superior engineering and rugged construction made her one of the top-selling boats in her class for several years. Constructed on a modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam and a shallow keel, the hull was updated in 2000 with a finer entry to provide a softer ride and improved head-sea performance. While a centerline double berth was offered in early models, more recent interiors were offered with a traditional V-berth or an offset double berth forward. Cabin headroom is excellent and the decor is very upscale for a fishing boat. The cockpit is big for a 35-footer and came standard with a bait prep center, transom door, two in-deck storage boxes, deck washdowns, and plenty of rod storage. An L-shaped settee is opposite the helm (a companion seat was optional), and the entire bridge deck lifts for access to the motors. In 2002, the deck tooling was updated and side vents were added to the windshield.

"PARLAY" is hull number 296 in the series and features a Pipewelders 4 step tuna tower, upgraded Caterpillar C-9 diesel engines, Westerbeke 7.5kw generator, and is undoubtedly the nicest CABO 35 Express in this vintage on the market today.

Interior layout

The traditional Cabo teak interior is in great shape and is set off by the complimenting teak and holly sole.  Upon entry into the cabin, the head is to port and the galley is just forward of that.  The starboard side of the vessel offers a settee that can also serve as a berth.  The angled queen berth is forward and an integral part of the interior.  The forward cabinets feature full length rod storage and there is adequate storage throughout.  The liftable entry steps also house a large storage area.
